On September 15–19, 2025, we had the pleasure of taking part in a study visit to Finland, organized within the framework of the project “Regional Project for Building the Capacity of the PPO Region” under the European Funds for Podlaskie 2021–2027.
The study visit to Finland was an initiative of the Marshal’s Office of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Together with Vice-Marshal Wiesława Burnos and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Finland Andrzej Parafiniuk, we spent an exceptional and inspiring time discovering innovative solutions that connect science with business.
The delegation allowed us to:
-visit VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland – one of Europe’s leading research organizations;

-tour the Helsinki Central Library Oodi – a public library built to mark the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence;
-participate in Food Days Seinäjoki 2025, where we explored innovations in the food industry and met market leaders;
-visit Foodwest – a food industry R&D center specializing in product development, flavor testing, and market trend analysis;
-explore Kyrö Distillery Company – a regional whisky and gin distillery known for its passion for quality, innovation, and sustainable production;
-meet with representatives of Seinäjoki University and the University of Helsinki.

We proudly conclude our participation in this mission, which proved to be both inspiring and fruitful!
